Victoria's Tea Room & Bar, Almoradi - Wednesday, 28 September 2016
Thirty seven ARPO members and guests dodged the predicted rain showers (which never materialised) to enjoy a different type of lunch at Victoria's Tea Room in Almoradi, organised by our Secretary Don and Elaine Macginnes.
Among other things on the menu were: Assorted sandwiches on white or brown bread, platters of cold meats, an assortment of finger snacks including chicken wings, crab sticks, samosas, pork pies, cheese/pineapple etc all suitably finished off with strawberries and cream/icecream and miniature assorted cakes. Everyone had a drink of their choice to accompany the lunch.
Some members had pulled Don's leg about it being a 'tea dance' and to call their bluff suitable music was provided, with one or two dancers taking to the floor!
A bottle raffle was held with some of the 'ususal suspects', including Maureen Forsyth, continuing their winning streaks!
A big vote of thanks was given by our ex-Chairman, Fred Wharton, to Don and Elaine Maginnnes for arranging this very different lunch and venue, with appreciation also given to the staff and Victoria herself.
